Journal #1
Throughout my high school years I have never been so academically challenge until first semester of my junior year. Coming in to junior year, I realized I was not prepared since the previous years I had fairly simple classes and this year was the most important year of my high school career. From the start I was stressed because I knew I need to do my very best in order to get into the university of my preference. Through the middle of first semester I was already failing because I had a lot more homework assignments that I ever had combined my freshman and sophomore year. It was very difficult to get used to it. I was procrastinating a lot which was not intelligent because I eventually would have to do it. I was not getting the full education too by not working on my assignments at home. At the end of first semester of junior year I was completely worried I would not pass some of my classes since I owed quit a few work however I managed to pull through and complete all my classes. Even though I passed all my classes I am not proud of my final grades because I know I would have done a lot better if only I had not procrastinated.
Second semester of junior year, I am going to not procrastinate because I have learned the hard way how stressful it can be to try to finish all your work in a couple of weeks or days. Procrastinating took a lot away from me, like better grades however it was my fault since I did not know how to manage my time wisely. I will improve my grades if I want to still have a chance to get into the University of my Choice and get my work done on time.
